  • iPod help, please

Ive had this iPod Nano for a year and a half...I got frustrated with it and tossed it in the drawer until yesterday. I am determined to learn to use this because I really like to work out to tunes.
I was able to go onto iTunes and created a workout playlist and I put 20 songs on it. It synched with my device and voila~!! I had finally figured out how to put music on my ipod. So I went to the itunes store and bought some songs, created a new playlist..I assumed that all I had to do to put a new playlist onto my IPod was to plug the device into the computer and it will AUTOMATICALLY synch any new stuff and put it right on the iPod. OK, I did that and nothing..I tried about 20 different things in attempting to put the new playlists on it, and still, would not get my new songs onto my ipod. Am I missing some kind of step in getting new playlists onto my device?
If someone could explain this and how to do this, I will be very grateful. Thanks
PS-I also purchased an mp3 player about two weeks ago because everyone said mp3 players are way easier to use than an iPod. Any truth to that? I havent even opened the mp3 package and was thinking of returning it to Bestbuy if I can master the iPod...thanks again

    Re: iPod help, please

Did you make sure there were checks next to all the songs you want to sync to the ipod?
There is a button in itunes that says "SYNC". When you press the button it should start syncing. If you don't see the button, highlight your ipod in the frame on the left, then it should be there.

Darnit! All songs check marked. I clicked on sync. device said it was synching. NOTHING! This iPod is really starting to piss me off...The USB cord has some wires showing, but I hardly think that would effect anything..Maybe I need to go buy a new cord...$#@&*!!!!!..I swear I wish cassette tapes were still in style..LOL...I need to learn this damn technology!

You are looking at all the songs on the ipod and not just a playlist that has the first ones you put on there are you?

It said "finished syncing" and all that..then it says that on my device too..I unplug it and look to see if the new songs are on it and NADA!!!!!
