TV bulb out AGAIN!

Holy shit! I've had to replace the bulb in this Hitachi LCD TV at least once a year for the last few years. The 1st 2 lasted a little more than a year. I just replaced the last bulb about 3 months ago. I'm ^%$#'n tired of this bs! Bulbs last over 100,000hrs in TVs. The model I happened to purchase back in '05. The bulbs last an average of 8,000hrs.
I've had it!~I'm sick of it! I've made up new cuss words over the past 15min. I'm pissed and sick of it.
I'm not buying another $90 bulb. Now I gotta fetch a damn tv. The last thing I needed was a tv issue. They aren't cheap. God, I'm so irritated. to say the least.

Is it an LCD or dlp? Do you have it on the bright setting? If so it shortens the bulb life. I have a 73" dlp that I just replaced the bulb in after 4 or 5 years.

It's a LCD. This is bulb #4 since '05.
The average LCD/DLP lamp lasts around 100,000hrs.(about 11yrs) The model Hitachi I happened to get. It came in a 50", 55", and 60". That model television burns bulbs in average of 8,000hrs, which is right close to 1 year. 333 days.
I'm tired of ordering $109 bulbs. Thank goodness ya don't have to throw down $3500 for a decent LCD anymore, but they aren't loose change either. Sucks bad! I hate it. Football all weekend...

Oh man, that would suck..I would be irritated too...especially with so much football on this weekend...opening weekend of the NFL to boot...Maybe you can order a cheaper bulb online and in the meantime go to the pawn shop and pick up a cheap tv for the weekend and take it back after monday night football...LOL...good luck with that!

yeah. They sent me the cheaper bulb last time, which is why I'm out like this. The Phillips, which 9 of 10 LCD/DLP come with from the factory, will give me a good month or so warning before it bit the dust. The Sylvania just craps out. 1 minute it's fine. Then out.
I'm so over the bulb issue with this thing. And damnit, the timing...

I got my good bulb on the way. I might put a nice big 55" Hitachi on the market. with the LCD bulb just replaced.
