Like I said I see all your points and I see why soldiers would be pissed because I dont want any of them in harms way but ive always been brought up a eye for a eye. Why should they be able to burn our flag every friggin time and if we do anything to other countries or bad people then we are wrong

This story has really taken on a Gigantic scope! Seems to be THE big news story this week. Stray, I give you more credibility because you have been over there and experienced that abu graib backlash...those people over there will be told that everyone in America is burning Korans..This pastor is full of hatred and should be ashamed of himself..This is not about love, it is about hate and stiring up more hate...What good is going to come from this??????Reminds of that pastor in Topeka Kansas that protests at funerals of GIs killed in combat. Whackjobs for sure! Is this how all Christians are?

I am amazed that so many people think this is a good idea. This will get soldiers killed! I was in Iraq when they released the pictures of the Abu Ahrib prison torture pictures and we got hammered for a couple weeks because of it. This will be just as bad if not worse. Not a good idea at all.

You know, at first I was all for this koran burning, but reading about it in the paper this morning, I see that general Petreius is pleading with this pastor to NOT do it!!!! now I am not so sure it is a good thing. Only negative. Is it going to make the world a better place? Does it give people in florida a way to vent their anger and frustration? YES! But is that good? What good is going to come from this? I dunno

Whats this tennessee mosque issue? havent heard of this yet.

There is a group in Tennessee that have a mosque that can no longer support the amount of members that they have so they are trying to build a bigger one. There are locals there that are throwing the terrorist flag and are fighting to not allow them to build it, saying it's going to bring violence and hate and blah blah blah. It's funny though. They have had the current mosque there for 30 years and have never had a problem.
As far as this Quran burning in Florida, it's only this one pastor and his flock of about 50 people. Just Christian extremism that they hypocritically cry foul about the other team.

Yeah, this is great. Whatever helps to piss them off more and get our soldiers killed over there. Real smart. I'm all for freedom, I'd burn all religious books. But knowing this will get international attention makes it a stupid thing to do. And what does it accomplish anyway?

I say burn it also. As I see your point stray they want to build a mosque and rub it in our faces then burn this book and burn alot of them .

You don't see where this will raise tension and hurt the war effort? What sense does it make to make them hate us even more? How does that accomplish anything? It just doesn't make sense. How do you feel about the mosque issue going on in Tennessee?

I bet, just because of this national attention. Students might not notice so much, but I imagine they step it up at The Swamp and around town.
I don't think Gainsville has anything to worry about.

Kind of worried about going to the gator game saturday though. Hopefully someone doesnt rig the place with pipe bombs or something and blow us all to pieces.
