  • I Climbed The Manitou Incline!!!!

Two times in 3 days. My first climb was on Thursday afternoon. Honestly, there were times I stopped and thought "OMG what have I gotten myself in to??"My heart rate was way up there and I was gasping for air. People have died climbing it. It is 2100 vertical feet so the air gets thinner as You go up and also the incline gets steeper the closer you get to the top. If you have fear of heights, it can feel like you are going straight up. You turn and look down and you freak out..You look up and you freak out...LOL. I had to stop a few times and sit down. You dont see any fat people going up the incline. The Olympic training center is close buy and Olympians RUN up it every day. Lots of special Forces troops from nearby Fort Carson also use it to train. I am telling you, It is a serious challenge. mentally and physically. Apollo Ohno supposedly ran it in 20 minutes...I think if I can go up and do it 3 times a week, it will get me ripped. Its like doing lunges all the way up a mountainside in thin air. Its a bytch. I hate it. I love it. I am addicted to it. Im going again tomorrow morning with a friend from the gym. ts his first time...The Manitou incline is the ultimate challenge of endurance and mental toughness...Nothing feels so good when You stand on top and look down and knowing you conquered it.

there are lots of youtube videos of it..heres a link describing it>
