I missed this one in the news. That is some crazy coincidental stuff right there.
I wonder what the stats are for oil disasters, or incidents. I don't know about this one, so I don't know what to call it, but still. How many times, in a decade, does this type of thing happen? I wonder.1 up

I work in the oil industry. So many fires, leaks, releases, and injuries happen all the time that you never hear about. Until someone comes up with a better energy source it will continue.They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.Comment

Read an article about the company who owns this platform and they said fires happens about 100 time per year. Most people know that there is great risk in this type of work, I can't understand why people get so suprised when there is an accident.Originally posted by horsepwr View PostComment
