my mom in lAW IS FINE. I GET ALONG WITH HER BETTER THAN MY WIFE DOES!!! WE DONT SEE HER MUCH.....WHICH THAT HELPS ALOT!!HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

I liked my mother in law a lot. She was a bit crazy and an alcoholic, but she loved me and she was a very nice woman.Comment

I love her to death but many times she makes these comments that i could kill her, she just can't stay out of our financial stuff.
For instance. when my kids were 4 and 2 she made a comment in front of many folks that my wife, who doesn't work, should put the kids in daycare so she can enjoy the day. i was like wtf!! How's this mom in law, put the kids in daycare and put my wife out in the job market....Comment

I have had as good a relationship with my mother inlaw as possible. I've noticed, lately, that her role in my wife's life, her own daughter, does not seem to be of the best intensions at times. I've held a decent relationship with her for many years. She puts a jolly "la-la-la" front on, like she's the happiest little woman around. To call her "fake" is the understatement. I finally had a heart-to-heart with her, and I might have fixed things for them, my wife and her mother. As for me with a person like that. I don't have much for 'em.
I say I might've "fixed" things. That would take devine intervention, but I definitely helped the strain between them.
My wife has a wonderful relationship with my mother. Thank goodness. My mom doesn't have too many "sharp edges". She would never think to be malicious to a loved one. She's a great mom.1 up
