Im sure religious fanaticism can override hunger and thirst and for sure those terrorists can get crazy during ramadan...The question is , should this guy to be admired or scorned for being less than 100% on a field against some of the top athletes on earth.? Like his coach said, he wasnt on his game last season when he did this. I'm sure the vikings wont be able to cut him without some backlash from the obama administration and other islamic sympathizers.
Anyone remember Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf? he was the NBA player that refused to stand during the national anthem because he felt the American flag conflicted with his islamic beliefs. He also fasted during ramadan and his scoring average dropped and he played so bad he was eventually out of the league

It sounds like he's not going to make the team . . . again. I understand that a person's religion is a core belief, and as such it is more important for many than anything else - but could he possibly put himself in a worse position as a fringe NFL player trying to catch on somewhere? And is he too young to have heard of Korey Stringer - also a former Vikings player - a damned god one at that . . . ? Putting both your life and career at jeopardy at the same time is puzzling to put it nicely. The guy should try to get a job with his degree (assuming he has one) instead. Or maybe he thinks Allah will keep him safe since he is doing this for Islam? I don't get this decision - I get that he believes in his faith, that is fine - but he is just plain stupid for thinking he should go ahead with an NFL training camp while fasting (and no water either?!?!) . . . dum****.

I didn't understand it then, but I bet they aren't feeling the heat of this recession like the average...non-minority. Especially the ever so beloved Muslim, way up on those pedestals.

Some shit could get put in check if Americans had the passion for our true roots and foundation as they do.

And isn't this supposed to be the land of freedom? If the stupidass doesn't play up to par, I'd cut his ass. Screw what anybody says. He neglects his body, game, and team for some bullshit? The coach needs to practice his freedom to cut his ass. Exercise a little 1st Amendment while he's at it.

if the vikings cut this islamic clown, expect a federal lawsuit being brought against them.
