WTF at the gym today...
Check out this situation I was involved in this morning at the gym I go to: OK, I go in to do cardio, and I get on an eliptical machine next to this rather portly guy. I put my Ipod on, crank up my tunes, and start slammin'. Well, the guy next to me has a Bluetooth or such on, and he starts getting call after call. And he's REALLY ****in' loud on the phone...I could hear him above my Ipod. Now, there are signs posted all over the gym about only using cell phones in designated areas, but if the guy only took one call or such I wouldn't care. But he's blabbing away, shucking and jiving about how "he's sweating at the gym...let's get the boys together later for some beers..." blah, blah, blah, bullchit. So...I turn off my Ipod, get his attention, and ask him politely to please take his calls elseware, as he is disturbing my workout. So, he tells me to "mind my own ****in' business, and if I don't like it to go use another machine." Well, at that point I call him an asshole, I get off the machine and go over and slam my hand on one of the signs that says "Cells phones only allowed in designated areas," and I ask him if he can ****in' read. I also tell him I leave my dayum cell in my car when I'm working out, 'cause I don't wanna be disturbed. Well, he retorts how he's a VIP, and he needs to take his calls. So, I ask him who's calling him so much: McDonalds and Burger King? Then we both started cursing each other out, and one of the gym employees comes over to see what's up. I try to tell my end of the story, but the guy just kept going on...so I said "**** you!" and I walked away to go get some water. Well, the guy got all nasty with the gym guy, so the guy told him to leave. Mr Asshole then decided to start yelling at me again, so I told him to get his fat ass outside so I could kick it. At this point the gym guy said he was gonna call the cops if we didn't cool it and if the other guy didn't leave. So, I again walked away, and the jerk off walked out, yelling how he was gonna call his lawyer and shit. The gym guy apologized to me, and I said it wasn't his fault, but that they really should walk around and enforce the rules, as I don't think I gotta play "cop" at the gym. The guy agreed with me, and said he was gonna put the paper work in to get me a free month. Christ, what a friggin' world!

Yeah we have a few guys that like to set around on equipment and text about working out... So far I have kept my cool, but I imagine it will get the best of me sooner than later.Comment

This is why I love my home gym. Only one in there with me is my dog, and she doesn't have a cell phone lol!They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.Comment

I GET THIS SHIT ALL THE TIME WITH THE MORONS AT MY GYM ASK BABY1. YOU HANDLED IT FINE AND GOOD YOU GOT A FREE MONTH. THE ONE TIME WITH ME WAS WHEN THE GUY WOULDT LET ME WORK IN WITH HIM ON THE MACHINE AND I SAID WHAT ARE YOU SAYING YOUR NOT GOING TO LET ME USE IT BECAUSE YOUR ON IT AND WANT TO FINSIH YOUR 4 SETS FIRST. I SAID FUK YOU JAGOFF GET OFF THE MACHINE. OFCOURSE MY VOICE TRAVELS AND BABY1 COMES RUNNING OVER TO ME AND SAYS CALM DOWN. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY WIFE GRABBED ME AND I WALKED AWAY. Heh, if I was a big guy like you guys the jagoff prolly woulda just said "Sorry sir!" and stopped talking on the phone...
Anywho, I go to the gym today and guess who's there...Mr Cell Phone. He sees me, and comes over with his hand out and says "Sorry, bro. I was just having a bad day." I shook his hand and said, "It's cool...sometimes we get our "T" levels jacked up here and we go a little nuts." He laughed at that, and told me he left the cell in the car like I do. I said "Good man!" and told him to have a nice day. So, it's all good. And I find it kinda ironic that it happened...since I'm usually "Mr Sunshine" at the gym. I like to talk to people about their workouts, get pointers, give people props, etc. Oh well, guess everyone has to deal w/ azzhats at some point. And like you guys pointed out, I did get a free month.

Bro, I totally know what your talking about, I hate that sh!t. Or when people get on one machine or bench and then roll to another machine then roll to another one so your like cool hes done w/it and then you get on it and then he comes back and was like, "yea i got 4 sets left" Im always a smart a$$ and say, "o really cause I saw you on 2 different machines. Guy at the gym is stuck on his self. I had a friend kinda like him one time. So I picked up on it quick. He is always walking around flexing in the mirrors after doing some reps. I walk in the locker room and he is taking pictures of himself in the mirror. I wanted to just ball out laughing.... I kept my mouth shut and acted like I didn't notice.Comment
