underground mining...coal, and its non union work...of the 110 men on my shift, 30 are mexicans and by far my best workers..a few duds, but overall they are good hands

Hmm, that's odd. I grew up in WV and mines were the biggest industry there, and I know there are no illegals doing the work, but there aren't any there anyway..lol. There has to be some logical reason as to why your company cannot find good workers at those wages. It just doesn't make sense. That is a very high wage, approximately 58,000 a year without overtime.

not just our company,,,its all of them here. guess the gas,oil, and power companies pay about the same and alot easier work, but we just cant get good miners out here...except the ilegals,lol

construction in texas, what more is there too say, we've always had a pourous border, always, like pg, ur on a schedule, these are workers show up, and work hard, i've known lots of em, it's hard to tell based on speaking english, my great grandfater came from italy in 1906, never learned english, i've met several mexicans have been here 30 years still do not speak english and are legal, and hard workers

my stance on workers is u pretty much know what u got in one month, by 3 months it's almost proof positive, i've always believed give me a hard worker i'll teach him anything

I can't argue that they work hard, that is for sure. And a lot of them are great people, I just wish things were done the right way, through the legal process. However, its been this way for decades and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

EXACTLY THERE ARE ALOT OF SPANISH WORKERS THAT BUST THERE ASS BUT THAT DOESNT GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO COME OVER HERE ILLEGALY AND WORK. UNTIL THE NEXT PRESIDENT COMES A REPUBLICAN WE WONT SEE ANY MORE BORDER STUFF UNTIL THEN TO REALLY CRACK DOWN ON IT.

Instead of shipping them back to Mexico why not send them to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Let them fight the war on terror and if they survive say a 5-10 year term then they can become a citizen.... I also think we should do that with some of our non-violent prisoners also... I know it is out there, but getting shit tax free on our dime sucks.

Yeah I agree.....But if they was willing to give there lives to fight to be a citizen then it would mean more then them just coming over and spounging. I know I would hate to be over there with a bunch of Mexicans also... I told you it was out of the box... LOL...

One guy at work said that they should hire all of them to build the fences along the border... They would work the fence from the Mexican side. And when it is complete they would be stuck on the right side...

Good point pigmeat. If they allowed criminals and illegals to serve, then some of the good law abiding citizens would be turned down. There are only so many jobs available in the military. How would it feel to get turned down having a clean record and being a citizen while those who broke the laws were allowed to serve. On top of that, a lot of military personnel have to hold clearances, which could not be obtained by illegals and lawbreakers.
