Another thing that these little pocket-pistols are very susceptible to is limp-wristing. Especially a .380 in the "mouse-gun" size. Don't think I'm saying you don't know how to hold a gun, but these things are especially easy to limp-wrist. The slightest slack, or slip, and you could have one not chamber the next round. We don't like to think that we might've limp-wristed a few rounds. But it can happen to anyone. You gotta pay extra close attention to that with a .380 that size. Even more-so with it being brand new. Which leads me to my last thought. It's a brand new gun. Field strip it. Lube the rails, and get a couple hundred rounds down range. It might've just been part of breaking 'er in.
If you didn't break it down and lube it well, paying extra attention to the rails. I'm betting that once you've done this. You won't have that issue again.

I had 3 WWB rounds do exactly what it sounds like yours did when I went out Saturday morning. Wal-Mart WinchesterWhite Box are the shittyest, but I've never had a problem with them in my P32 before. I know the problem was because the gun was dry as hell from carrying it daily in this heat. CC'ing every day has taught me a few things I never knew. Even about the quality of certain gun lubricants.(I sweat, and it's been hot as hell).

About those Lawman. I felt the same about them. But remember. Speer makes Gold Dots. Some of the best HPs on the market.
Thanks horsepwr, I think you are right about the lube. I should have cleaned it first but figured it would be fine. I'm not sure what you mean on the limp wrist though. Are you talking about the gun being pointed down perhaps and gravity taking its course?

The gun is so light that you don't hold your wrist tight. Your wrist absorbs the recoil causing the slide to malfunction. the whole pistol is moving and not just the slide this causes a failure to feed. A larger caliber has more internal pressure in the case and the action will cycle even if not being held tight n

        what he said^
If you don't hold these little pocket-autos very tight, with a very stiff grip, you could easily have a "limp-wrist" sichiation. If you slack your wrist in the slightest. The slide won't completely actuate causing the gun to jam.

After speaking to the guys at the gun-shop today, they agreed that you must keep these pocket-pistols wet for them to function as well. confirming my thought as to why I had to tap the back of the slide for those couple rounds to go on into battery this weekend.

Thanks guys. I don't think I had a problem with limp-wrist. I actually had to push the slide forward a couple times after releasing it upon loading a clip. It didn't go all the way forward on its own. I will take it out again this weekend after breaking it down and lubing the rails. I'll make sure to shoot a hundred rounds through it and report the results afterward.
