I live on the Texas gulf coast and I am a die hard offshore fisherman. This mess in the gulf is ridiculous. I hope it doesn't come our way. As far as BP going bankrupt this will never happen. Their insurance will cover everything from the cleanup to lawsuits. They will settle out of court with everyone just as they did when the Texas city refinery exploded. I have several friends that BP settled out of court with. Currently their stock is falling. When it bottoms out I plan to buy as many shares as I can. They are one of the largest oil companies in the world and will bounce back. I fish in Venice for tuna every February and this affects me too. But if you are an investor this is a great opportunity. Look at the exxon valdez. Now exxonmobil is the largest oil company in America.They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.Comment

I don't know stock market, trading. nothing. But if I had it, I'd throw down on BP.
Baidu. Help china out. My pops has been doing good with the shares he bought of Biadu. Remember China banned Google. Baidu is their verison. so...That's kind-of-a no-brainer. Baidu should do, for China, what Google has for America. almost. I know it's been a very profitable share. A week after he bought it, it split 10 for 1!..then growin every day. I've never heard of anything splitting 10 for 1.1 up

BP may be a good investment but it is a risky one for sure. We don't know what is going to happen to them. Will they be okay, will they be nationalized by this radical socialist government like the banks and car companies, will they shut down the American side of the company and only continue in other parts of the world?
