    Re: My wife finally...

awesome! Sounds like y'all had a nice family event yesterday evening. As I said before. That is good, clean, fun for the whole family, huh deep? It's truly sad that people have been brain-washed, that guns kill people, by weak minded liberal ideology over the years. So they see guns as something bad and dangerous instead of what firearms truly are.

I'm glad to hear the wife likes her Sig. I'm not surprised, of course.lol...

So the little one got to pop some 9mm rounds off too? How'd she like it?

she loved it- she wanted to shoot more, but I figured after unleashing 50 rounds back there- might want to let things quiet down in the neighborhood-LOL

Ive got to completely agree with you guys there is not a gun out there that has been properly maintained and kept that is dangerous. A gun can only do what it was designed for much like a knife, a hammer, or a video game for that matter. When people are properly trained and taught about guns they have no danger to them when those rules are respected. I think all people should have a basic gun safety a knowledge. I have been hunting and owning guns since i believe i was about 9 when i got my first shotgun. I bought my first hand gun about 2 years ago and never once have any fo those guns been dangerous because i was taught proper gun safety.

lol...I know.??? Obviously so. It only stands to reason. If you can't teach your kid not to play with guns, then you have the same problem with knives and power tools, etc...
I don't have that problem with my daughter. My father didn't have that concern with us. Gun and knife safety is part of the most strict discipline. It's just something that's taught as strict, and learned as quickly as watching for cars.(the don't touch or play with rule). Children understand the seriousness of that stuff pretty easily. That first training session, and rounds fired, really sets the tone of 'this is not a squirt gun, or that bs drama on the tv'.

I've never seen someone lock-up kitchen knives. I know people that have gun safes, but that's mainly for safety of the gun. Children get-it pretty easy and quick. Proper training is best. A child with no training, a gun, and curiosity is the main cause of those horrible statistics. Bad scenario that happens too often.

Its funny- I was raised in a home where my dad hunted all over the world including Africa/Alaska and we never locked up the guns- they were always in the "gun room" that was unlocked and the guns were either hanging on the wall on is an unlocked cabinet and we never had any issues- of course I am an only child
