    Re: Is this a democracy?

Exactly. Politicians are scum. They become scum. Elected officials just become tainted. And like Jsjs said, anyone that isn't, doesn't get in or stand a chance.
It's gonna take a great movement to get the majority on the right path. And like I've always said. There is a clear right way, and a clear wrong way. No room for compromise.
I have hope because this great movement we need. I think the gears of said movement just might be beginning to turn. I really really hope. For the sake of all that's sacred.

If you ask me public officers shouldn't recieve a pay check, or at least just enough to cover average exspenses. No free lunch so speak. It the power and money that bring on the coruption.

An average salary would be okay, but not these 6 figure salaries they are currently receiving. Also, they should not be allowed to earn income from any other source while in office, nor should they be able to invest in the stock market. This is what they do to the President so why not the rest of them. Public office should be a job that attracts those who want to serve for the sake of their country, not for a permanent career and high salary. Term limits should be imposed and no more pensions.

History that we were taught, depending on your state's guidlines. Some got more actual history than others, but history is being picked apart. The most valuable aspects are being taken out with the trash.
I would love to be able to learn more history at a better rate than I'm able to find, and read-up on. I get such a good feeling reading up on our founding father's writings, teaching, and great knowledge left for everyone. They did allot of writing.
horsepwr if you want to read an excellent book on our country's history, buy "A Patriot's History of the United States." I have the audio version which is a 40 disc set. Thus far I am on disc 28 and it has been an excellent read. It covers the period from the founding of our nation to the present.

Of course CTRL. Thanks for the support. I am trying to finish my website at the moment and continuing to write on my blog at present. My brother and I are working out the chapters and message we intend to deliver in the book we are writing, though this will take some time. We are discussing an online school (free initially) to provide lessons on history, economics, and politics. We believe that is the most important lesson to be taught. People need to realize how serious the movement towards government control that we are witnessing is and that it didn't begin recently. This has been well planned by those who despise everything America stands for. But in the mean time the best advice I can give to people trying to understand it all is to read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and George Orwell's 1984. These are both fiction books written by well informed authors, (Rand being a philosopher) that depict what the future will look like if we continue the expansion of government control. Also, keep in mind that Ayn Rand grew up in Soviet Russia under communism. Of course, the history book I mentioned is excellent for anyone seeking an unbiased lesson of American history.
