Both are certainly nice bikes. Spent many summers at my aunts house in upstate NY. She owns several hundred acres and my cousing and i would make a motocross race track each summer. He had a KX125 and I had am RM125.

Winters are also cool as hell as you can ride snowmobiles just about anywhere.

You and me both. Unfortunalty i have no where to ride.

Every year for memorial day the entire family meets in upstate ny. We are all grown now but my cousins kids all have dirt bikes and quads. The ages range from 9 - 14 and, i'll tell you, each one of them really know how to ride. My kids at 7 and 9 want to ride as well however i am a bit concerned about them getting hurt. I did, years back, tell my son that when he reaches 9 he can ride. So, you know how kids memories are, he has already brought that up. We'll see how it plays out.

I hear you. I rode my whole life and raced and all that jazz, now my wife's little boy wants one. I would like to get him one and use that as an excuse to get me one..LOL But really, she doesn't want him to have one and I have different thoughts on the subject now myself. He is 8.

sweet trade. and damn! you got that Yami lookin good.

The fastest dirtbike I have ever rode was a '96 RM 250. That was before they even began the switch to 4-stroke. That RM was super fast!
                congrats.
                Be careful! and have fun

I would use the same excuse just ti get me one as well.

I'll be honest and say i am concerned about my 9yr old getting on a dirt bike for the first time this Memorial Day weekend. If he's anything like me when i first started, he's gonna get hurt and i'm not sure i can take that

why did you get ride of the 4 stroke..i will never go back to a 2 stroke..the 400s are so much easier to ride..not as much shifting through the turns, ect

What are the numbers on those things these days?
I wanna see what a '09 will bring.

                      I found the CRF 450R:

                      Horsepower (bhp) 56.3
                      Horsepower (kW) 42
                      Horsepower RPM 8500
                      Redline RPM 11270
                      Torque (Ft Lbs) 37.5
                      Torque (Nm) 50.8
                      Torque RPM 7000

                      I can't find the 2-stroke specs.
