  • The power of the mind is incredible

Has this ever happened to you?:
Last night, I was sleeping and having a vivid dream that I was playing poker in this old hotel with a bunch of attorneys...I woke up, and looked at the TV and Poker After Dark was on TV...Like the power of suggestion or something...its freaky and it happens to me a lot. I will be having a dream and then I awaken to see that what I'm dreaming about is on the TV. Some say that even while we are asleep, our unconscious mind is still wide awake and taking everything in.

I used to play motivational tapes while I slept. I most definitely need to go back to doing that.

I haven't had that happen, but I have had a TON of deja vu`. The mind is absolutely incredible!!!!!

There are 5 stages of sleep. You were possibly in the deepest stage, REM (rapid eye movement) stage, where the most vivid dreaming occurs. I would think your subconscious mind heard the tv and you began to dream about it. I'm no doctor by any means, but I studied it in Flight Physiology in college. It is strange, and I sometimes have dreams like that too.

Early on, in college, I started making superlearning tapes with affirmations in my own voice. I would use certain types of classical music thats shown to increase brain power and absorption. I would play the tapes on two continuous play cassette players. They would play all night long while I was asleep. I would write out the affirmations that were in line with my dominant goals and record them with a three second metronome. It took a bit of work, but was so worth it.This experience last night with the poker game served as a reminder of how powerful this is. Not to mention that we should be more careful of what we let into our unconscious mind, via tv, raDIO, etc. Our unconscious mind never sleeps and is always listening. Like maybe I shouldnt fall asleep with the tv on...lol
"Your conscious mind is very intelligent, and your subconscious is a hell of a lot smarter," quipped the eminent medical hypnotist, Milton Erikson. Superlearning speaks to your unconscious as well as your conscious mind. It gives you ways to insure that your powerhouse subliminal mind is going in the same direction you are."

You really should read Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich. How to deal with your subconscious the main message he discusses. At the same time you would learn to become rich. A win-win!

I have the falling dreams in the day sometimes. Last wk i was on the treadmill, thought id turned it off, but it was still goin and i put my feet were on the sides and i put them back accidentally on the belt and i went flying. Fell right on my butt. Soo embarrasing...and all these guys come.."Are u alright. can i help?" I was hurtin bad, but i said "im ok". It was funny im sure to see. And Dzone...no way can i tell u about this dream issue on here, much to in depth. I will say it is why i put the Yin/Yang in the top portion of my flowered tat. It has a lot of dif meanings, but one in particular to me.

That's crazy! I get those same dreams all the time, where I'm trying to hit someone and I can't. Also, where I'm trying to run and I can't do it, I just move in slow motion.
