I HAD SOME PIPE PUT IN FRONT OF THE YARD TO GET RID OF A DITCH...WELL LAST SATURDAY NIGHT WE HAD A FLOOD AND HALF OF MY DIRT IS GONE AND MY PIPE "FLOATED" OUT OF THE GROUND! TALK ABOUT A MESS! MOST OF THE DIRT IS IN THE 3 NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS YARDS DOWN THE STREET!
THE MUD FEELS LIKE WHIP CREAM! NOW I HAVE TO LET IT DRY OUT AND START OVER! TALK ABOUT PISSED!
we had so much rain one year that my neighbors inground swimming pool came out of the ground. He left the pool empty and covered. All the rain saturated the ground around it and just "lifted" it like a boat
Man, I bet your neighbors are irritated!! That sucks man. When it rains a lot at my house, I see where my concrete driveway moves up a little. When it's dry, the transition from my garage floor to the driveway is pretty flush. When it rains a lot like that, you will stub your toe on the transition.

YEAH, THE NEIGHBORS CALLED THE CITY ON ME ABOUT IT. WE HAD ANOTHER DOWNPOUR LAST NIGHT AND ITS JUST AS BAD. WE NEED IT TO DRY UP ENOUGH SO WE CAN GET THE BOBCAT BACK AND FIX IT ALL

O2, be sure that you dont use that same dirt to backfill with. You will not get good compaction with it now, unless you screen it. When yall backfill again be sure to compace with a small trench roller and you should be good.
I know that sucks, we got it bad here too.

damn man! I've noticed up that way has gotten some torrential rainfal. We've had some, but nothing like a couple hundred miles inland and north of that. I saw some footage of TN, and they're in bad shape too.
I bet you were pissed. That's a job. and it sounds like here in FL. You have to do that yourself. i.e. culvert, drainage, etc...
damn...never fun doing something twice.
