  • .45's

Well I went and shot both of my .45's yesterday and I was quite surprised.
The Ruger P345 single stack feels better in my hand and I love the external hammer, metal trigger and decocker along with a very mild recoil, but the acurracy left a little to be desired. On the other hand my Glock 21 double stack didn't feel quite as nice, but the accuracy was dead on and shot very nice with just a hair more recoil than the Ruger- looks as though the Glock will be my carry piece and the Ruger will be the truck gun

I have a ParaOrdinance light double action 45 and its the only wild card in my heavy calibers...all the rest are Glocks. Got a 357 sig as my truck gun and the model 36 as my 45 carry. Got to love the functionality of the Glock family.

So you dig the Glock, huh? of course. Excellent firearms.
The question I would like to know. Is the G21 the one? Have you found your perfect carry piece?
I had a G21 on the counter just before the XD.45 with stainless slide the other day. I got kinda hung up on that XD, and I'm thinking hard about taking the plunge. I am getting a .45. I want a .45 to carry. I have always liked Glocks. They're proven around the globe. Nothing needs to be said about quality. Glocks are quality. I just kinda liked the XD a little better in my hand. What do ya think? E, don't you have an XD as well? The Glock display has always called my name. Let me know. deep, Everlast???

I had the XD and I prefer the Glock- don't ask, I can't explain. The only other .45 I want at the moment is the HK USP.45, but I have never shot it so who knows- like I said the Glock surprised me and now I'm sold

            Re: .45's

Well, when my man gets back from the show this weekend, if he still has that 21, I might see if I can get a hold of it.
I've watched some comparison vids, read this and that today, and the Glock seems to shoot better in people's hands. People have faster follow up shots, and even XD fans have done better with the Glock.
I've seen too many people won over by Glock. I think I might finally give in.

You'll love the HK if you ever get the chance to shoot one. That's why I bought mine. I fired it at the gun store's indoor range, along with an XD and opted for the HK. But I haven't ever shot a glock .45 so I can't compare them.

Yeah- I gotta put together another $900-$1000 to get my hands on the HK unless I get it used , but it still gonna run me around $800

I've never heard a sour note about the H&K brand. Sounds like a pistol that actually lives up to it's price tag. That's gotten alittle rare these days in those charging up around the $1grand price point.
