what a great day out on the back 40. (actually back 400)
started off with the .22s
several .22 wheel guns, walther p22, tricked out 10-22, savage semi auto, antique phillips single shot, winchester lever action, .22 mag backup pistol. (this ting was easily one of the loudest pistols
had 5- 9mms highpoint (not bad got it in a trade) glock and cz compact and fullsize. the best was a ruger 9mm carbine with an aimpoint red dot scope. very fast target aquisition and very accurate within 25 yard but the trigger needs work.
M1 .30 carbine (this thing was terrible it jammed up the last 2 shots out of even the new magazine)
tricked out colt 1911. this thing was less rowdy than the 9mm and was an awesome shooting gun. the comp trigger was such an easy smooth pull
.357 lever action winchester (fun to play the rifleman)
sig .380 backup - couldnt hit anything past 6-7 yards with it but then it is a backup)
we had a great setup with all the steels setup and a great sunny day.
the wife and son went with me and my bro and his wife from work to his Dad's ranch. my son learned how to double tap targets and was shooting great. he will give me a run for my $ eventually.
didnt shoot the big rifles as the ammo is just too damn expensive. probably shot $150 worth but it and my sunburned neck was worthit
oh my wife said she wants a 9mm carbine setup like the ruger we shot. i am gonna get it quick before she changes her mind. any suggestions?
