  • Any motorheads/hot rodders here?

Just wondering if anyone is into hot rodding as a hobby, and if so, wanna ya got? I have a 73 AMX that I've built up into a street legal show/road race car.

All about the horsepower man...I"ve been lucky enough to build quite a stable over the years.

2007 Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins diesel:
Compound Turbo's, duel CP3's, crazy transmission = 600 rear wheel horsepower and 1200 ft. pounds of torque.

2003 Nissan 350Z twin turbo: 550 rear wheel hosepower pump gas

2002 Suzuki turbo Hayabusa 278 rear wheel horsepower

The Busa makes them all feel like driving station wagons. I respect them all but even after riding for years the turbo Hayabusa still scares the living sh*t out of me. Had to stretch out the rear tire 7 inches because it would wheelie still at over 120 mph.

I"m not rich by any means, just wasted too much money over the years. Could have bought a house for what I spent on all these toys

Well, I don't have anything at the moment but I have been into cars for a long time!! My last one was a cam only 98TA. Took a lot of weight out of it, cam, headers, stall ,TH350 and it would pull the wheels knee high and run 6.80s on motor!!

Most of my stuff has been drag racing. I have had mustangs, trucks, and the really fast ones were the LSX F-bodies. Other than the bikes I have had! I am a speed and adrenaline junky!

Me too. I had to get rid of my stang so I could go back to school. So I bought myself a sleeper....

97 Lincoln Mark VIII (dons the same 32v DOHC V8 the 96-98 Mustang Cobra had).
Mods: SCT tuned, K&N, Magnaflow X, Magnaflow catback, J-modded trans, Mach 1 torque converter.

I love GTO's. I'm definitely jealous jipped! I test drove an 06 with dealer installed SLP headers, orp, catback, intake and a dyno dune with drag radials. The thing was an animal! If only I had 35k sitting around at that time

What were you looking to get? What is your goal with your toy?
