WOW! This thing looks great! I didn't get it until late in the evening so too dark to take pics, plus I need to wash it first. I will post some picks tomorrow though. James, you were right, the MBRP exhaust sounds great. It has a very nice turbo whistle throughout that makes it sound like a jet or semi. The Toyo tires are quieter than I expected, no louder than the smaller BFG All Terrains I had which almost made no noise at all. That is how I like it, no tires sound, just pure diesel chatter with turbo and exhaust screaming. The XD wheels look amazing, as do the tires, and the lift is perfect but that one person who commented about cutting out the fenders or bumper was right, they actually had to shave a little off of the front bumper skirt so my apology to you for predicting otherwise. Still yet the lift is plenty and looks great. Saturday I receive my tuner and I can't wait to see how it performs.

Thanks, but its not actually a new ride. I've had it for a year and a half, just had a lift kit installed along with 35" Toyo's on 18" XDs, Westin 3" tube nerf bars (powder coated black), and MBRP 4" stainless turbo back exhaust with 5" chrome tip.Originally posted by Heavy_Duty View Post

It sounds kickass.
There's a gorgeous black Excursion that lives in down the street from a friend, and I love to hear it come by. The turbo is loud and clear. It sounds awesome! I figured he threw some big bucks down for a turbo, or 2, upgrade, but you say a better exhaust flow will let the turbo whine and whistle like crazy? This thing sings like a siren, or like it's cold all the time. When he's on the throttle lightly, even when he's off the throttle as it's slowing down. ???1 up

yea getting a aftermarket air breather and a new exhaust will make your turbo whistle. I love that sound. If you put an aftermarket turbo on such as a turbonetics with ceramic ball bearings you will sound like a jet taxing down the runway!They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.Comment

congrats man im glad you like it and im glad your happy with the tires and exhaust i recommended. I just got my tune in the email about 30 min ago and got it loaded on the programmer. I can't wait to see how this thing does and i got a nice 6 hour trip today also. hoping for some decent fuel gains and power lol.Comment

My tuner will be here tomorrow. Do I have to have Ford flash it to the newest software or does it not matter?
