Every few seconds it pops up. It says "antivar residence shield"...saying I have viruses on my computer that need to be deleted. I called verizon and he told me my computer is infected with MALWARE, and i would have to take it in to the shop. Surely there must be a way to get rid of this..does anyone know? This shit is frustrating as f***
go to www.malewarebytes.org and download the latest free version of malewarebytes then run the full scan and it should clean up your problem. just delete whatever it says to at the end. hope this works

The guy who started that site is a friend of my nieces. he used to work on our computer too sometimes. He has made it pretty big and he is just a young kid. Definitely try that site out.
GET AD-AWARE OFF THE NET AND RUN A VIRUS SCAN. ITS PROBABLY SPYWARE. HAD IT HAPPENN TO MINE TOO. DONT FALL FOR IT. IT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE YOU ARE INFECTED AND ASKS YOU IF YOU WANT IT FIXED AND WHEN YOU HIT "YES" IT GETS YOU

E got one of those anti-virus virus. It claimed he had a virus and he needed to update his virus software. When you click on the update, it asked for a credit card. The next thing you know it downloads a virus and they charge you card.
I had to call the credit card company and file a fraud report to get it taken off our card. Thankfully I stop the virus before it download to his computer.
It acts like it's Norton 360 anti-virus. They call it "Antivirus 360" or "AV 360 Virus".

Just do as DS suggested. It is a gimmick to sell you their software to remove their virus.
Just restore your computer to a time before it was infected.
Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!
Take nothing I say as serious, What do I know, I sell water!!

If I only knew how to do that. I dont know how. I was in the shop yesterday where I bought it and talked to a couple customers and they told me those things are about impossible to get rid of...The guy at the shop said I would need to leave it there for a day. That sux. Im on my work computer now. You would think if there was some type of tech support via the phone, they would make a fortune. Im sure its something , someone could walk me through. I have AVG on my computer and it scans daily for viruses. This came on while I was on facebook trying to upload a pic.

Go to download.com and search for malware. It should come up and is a free download.
As far as restoring back to a certain date, this should be under your programs>accessories>system tools....there is a system restore option that will ask you to enter a date. Just enter a date previous to the issue.
