I took Mrs. Waterboy to the coast this week end for Valentines. We knew it was going to snow about 6-8 inches, but who cared.
We were staying in a house that the Dr. she works for owns. It is in a secluded community about 20 miles from no where.
Everything was going fine untill around 5:00 AM. I was awakened by a loud pop outside. Getting up, I realized all the power had gone off in the community and the noise I heard was the generator at the next house.
So with no power it equals no heat. We decided to leave and come home. Didn't know how long the power was going to be out and didn't want to stay without any heat. We had gotten about 5 miles down the road when we came upon a tree that had fallen and blocked the road. No way around and no other way back to the main roads.
Luckily, a truck came alng with two poeple and a pull strap. We pulled and broke out the top of the tree so everyone could continue on their way.
So much for a weekend get away, but still had some fun in the snow.
