now, toyota is claiming its a "sticky accelerator pedal"...eventually they will admit it's electrical....transportation secretary is also starting too get redassed over how hard its been to get toyota too address this. there's also mentions of break issures....i imagine thats gonna be the break overide system....this is gonna get bigger (as predicted by your buddy dave!!)

I heard something about an electromagnet field around the pedal electronics or something like that causing it to do crazy stuff.

of course what i know about it, you could put on the tip of a needle, yet, i've read a few articles saying it's electronic, if it is, having sold a few hundred thousand of em, law of large numbers catch up too you, not good

prius is next...break wont stop the car!!! it may take you 45mins to get too 60mph, but i'm bettin, at some point, your gonna want to stop!!!
i said it before right here...with large number in production the quality will slip...well...its gonna get even worse. and we're talking MILLIONS of computers!!

Have you seen the braking issue with Toyota hybrids?
Apparently, you apply the brakes, and they don't respond. You stomp the breaks, then the computer catches on.
I saw an explanation of what's happening. When you let off the gas, the generator charging system kicks in. When you make the transition from gas to brake, that's all that happens instead of the brakes being applied. But, once you freak out and press harder, the electronics realize the brakes are needed, and finally applies the brakes.

Another issue that Yoter doesn't need right now.

I like the acceleration/deceleration example. "30min to 60 but" ...yeah, you might wanna stop faster than that though.

i joke, but i'm sure it's scarey as hell!! and you know toyota want NOTHING TO DO with replacing computers!!! can you imagine the cost in that? also....wait for it....wait for it....i hear rumblings that a certain fullsize truck aint getting the job doen and may be whacked!! nothing more than a little rumor now, but it's from toyota people....
