..Heisman Trophy-winning American football quarterback for the Florida Gators, Timothy Richard “Tim” Tebow’s 2010 Tim Tebow Superbowl ad has sparked protests and disapproval from several women’s groups.

The yet to be released ad, which will most probably be a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl next month, is a pro-life ad, an advocacy ad which is completely unnecessary in the Super Sunday game.

In the Thirty-second Super Bowl spot which is selling for $2.5 million to $2.8 million, Tim’s mother’s story of ignoring doctor’s advice to abort a potential problem pregnancy and, resting on her faith, which carried Tim to term, is portrayed.

Tim Tebow told reporters Sunday he was honoring his “courageous” mom. “I know some people won’t agree with it, but I think they can at least respect that I stand up for what I believe,” Tebow said

One thing's for sure. Everyone knows the ads coming. The "rage" has been sparked already, so the pro-choicers have something that some folks don't get before they can hit mute or change the channel. They have a full out "wanring" of the ad, so they can be ready to mute and get more chips and a beer during that dreaded 30 seconds of that most offensive story. palease...It's something that so many folks have this much bullshit time on their hands, and are so retarded that they can't figure out their might, at any time, be something on the tv that they don't agree with. That's a pretty damn good success story of making the right choice is all. Nothing more. I'm anxious to see if Tebow suggests that by choosing life, you'll have a Heisman trophy winner. I doubt it. I'm thinking, as he's stated, that it's no more than his story. There may be a prolife symbol at the end. It would be out of place not to have one following his story.

and during the Super Bowl. Is this out of place? Let's see...Tebow...The big game...getting through to a mother/father that's on the fence about the point at hand?..nah, not in my opinion. It's a good story with a great point, that fits rigth with the game. Not to mention a huge percentage of viewers that this ad could inspire. Wheather a Heismen is in the future or not. New life is a gift. You can't always plan for the perfect time to have a baby. I might still not have one. But I have a beautiful 5yr old daughter that's a little intellect, leader, artist, and blessing. Too many people don't realize how great that life is. "ready" or not.
And if it offends the prochoicers that much. I mean, come on...but if it does. Thanks to their pre-empt thus far, they have fair knowledge of the add, and can quickly plug their ears, close their eyes, and hum for 30 seconds, and voila...problem solved.

it kinda hits home with me. my wife didnt know she was preg and stayed on birth control the first three months of her pregnancy. so when we found out the dr told us we should seriously consider an abortion because there was a high chance our child would have side effects. well we didnt and she now 19 and so glad we didnt

Yes, that commercial should be allowed. There are other commercials about drugs and alcohol that are way more repulsive. If we are going to bit ch, lets bi tch about the glorication of alcohol, which kills people and destroys families every day. Or the fact that drug companies are doing everything they can to get people hooked on their dangerous products. Hats off to Tebow for standing up for his strong beliefs.
BTW, I hope Tebow goes to a team that will be able to use his talents. The dude is a winner in every way.

I dont see what the big deal is. Their is so little tolerance it seems. In America people are encouraged to stand up for what they believe, but when you do their is always a group of people ready to tear you down.

I think there a big difference in between I have faith my child will be ok and I take the gamble than Im having abortion because im 17, living in the street with no job, no money and a drug addict.......

are their any sitcoms on tv these days that arent full of homosexuals? IMO that is way worse than Tebows 30 second commercial. After the super bowl, nobody will ev en remember it

Abortion is something that people should think long and hard before doing. It shouldnt be like going in and having a tooth pulled. We need a lot more birth control education, thats for damn sure. And the Pope needs to get his head out of his ass on birth control and stop calling it a sin

The National media does not want this kind of message being broadcast as it is opposed to everything that they have been force feeding us and our children for years. But it also shows just how greedy they are because they could not pass up the 28mil that the ad costs to air for 30 seconds. Sooner or later good people, we and I do mean we are going to have to stand up and tell these people that IMO are tearing apart my country that we don't want their crap anymore. J.r.
