oh, you're all set. 2 gyms within walking distance. subway cable?..we don't have an actual subway or train like chi-town. FoxNews is on the 55" widescreen in HD if I'm watching, or in listening distance. And, of course, so long as the boss lady,(my daughter), doesn't want to watch her shows on "the big TV".
nah, They're good to me. Mommy makes sure daddy gets to watch, or hear, what I want, cause that's rare. I only have to see a few Fox programs, and they're even DVR'ed for everybody's concvenience.
Get on down here. I got a feeling it wouldn't take much for you to get gun fever. You'd understand all that talk our founding fathers were talking...about how much a man's firearm is a very big part of, not only who he is, but a very important part of life. It's good stuff.

I have to stop by this thread ever-so-often just to get a look at it. I'd sleep with it like a kid with a new teddy-bear if i could.

It just feels so awesome.Every little aspect about it is kickass. I love how compact it is.

I was looking at different furntiure for it, a while back, when I put it on lay-away.
I was thinking about chnaging the wood furniture out. I was thinking about railed out black polymer upper and lower fore-end, and I found an ATI adjustable stock that looks good. It's like the stocks you see the soldiers have on their M4s. Most of them just don't look right on an AK, but that one I found has an adapter that makes it look more 'natural'?...it doesn't look out-of-place, like most of those stocks do on an AK.

and that's the exact AK that I have. I need a scope kit too. and scope for it. I like the scope mount on the left side of the receiver on the Romanian.

I'm bummed. We wer on our way to go yesterday morning, and my friend got sick on the way. So, we had to come home. Never got to fire my new rifle.
And today, I felt like hell when I woke up. My stomach is fine, but I think I caught a serious cold.
My friend had been sick all last week, but was feeling better. His stomach all the sudden went bad on him. He was gonna man-up and go anyway, but I know I wouldn't be with it if I was sick to my stomach, so home we came.

I might take a day this week. I'd like to get a few more rounds anyway. And I won't be pressed for time like yesterday.

It's actually the UTG that looks good with the adapter that puts it down in place, but I've decided to refinish the wood with Tru-Oil. The stuff that's used on gun stocks. It'll look nice. I'd rather keep the wood furniture. I like the originality of it. even though it's not the highest of quality wood, I'll make it look pretty good. I am going to get an Ultimak gas tube. It replaces the gas tube and top hand guard with a picatinny rail. It's the best. It fastens to the barrel so the sight keeps zero. You also get cowitness through the sight. You can see the front post as well as the red dot. I'm going to just get a 1x30ish red dot. Mounted directly on the Ultimak will allow cowitness.

HP- how is the accuracy on this AK?? I'm looking at a Russian and a Yugo SKS at moment and trying to make a decision- Also considering a Saiga in 223

Man thats a nice gun. I have an old used chinese ak. I think it came from viet nam. Ive never shot it. I have guns and have never fired any of them.

It's as accurate as the shooter. Here's a target from the second outing with it. I still hadn't received the fron post sighting tool. The front-sight is where you fine tune the iron-sights. Get a Tapco front-post sighting tool. It'll fit every SKS & AK except the Yugo.

That's through iron sights @ about 50yrds. I usually shoot other stuff with it though. Like fruit, canned fruit, steel...I've accidentally mowed down a couple 2/3" thick sapplings. (about 20-30' tall) laid 'em over from rikeshays[sp]. I've heard they'll punch through pressure treated 4x4 posts. I know it will. It punched through about-a 14"diameter oak. staright through it. Again, I didn't mean to hit it. It'll be fine. the sapplings that laid down won't.

But I'm more than pleased with it's accuracy. People say that AKs aren't the most accurate. That is absolute fiction. I've only spent time with 2, but they've both been as accurate as the shooter. And with the chunk of round that comes from the barrel. With the 7.62, you don't have to worry about cross winds, dog-weed tips, a leaf... They'll keep truckin to POA.
The Kalash design is my favorite rifle ever. I love to know that it's ready to rock all the time, everytime, anytime. And it is as accurate as you are.
As soon as I can get a Ultimak Rail on it. I'll have a half-decent red-dot peep-sight. (1x30/32/40...something between with a 1x magnification.) Then accuracy will get even better.

You won't be dissappointed, DS. Just make sure the Yugo has a New Receiver, and barrel, because they used those grenade launchers and they stretch the front trunion and barrel on the Yugos. They used grenades the most. But it's probably like my RomAKM. Most everything is brand new, and better. Mine has the triangle w/arrow on the receiver proving it's demilled military receiver. Much better quality with these. "they say"

I couldn't be happier with mine. Even comared to my bro's pre-ban Soviet in 7.62x51mm. The Romanian AKM is one fine rifle. Chrome lined barrel everything. It is an AKM. I've since learned the Soviet AKM had a ridge-top receiver as well.

Man, you got yourself a helluva deal there.

I bought my guns when clinton came in and everyone was freaking out. around 1992. Man they were exxpensive back then... obviously I paid way too much for that ak with the folding stock. Geezo. $900. Oh well. I suppose everyone should have at least one gun like that, just in case the world falls into total chaos..lol
