I decided today, being 40 pounds overweight, that I would single handedly clear out about 2.5 acres of YUCCA plants with an ax. You know, those pointy, knifelike plants that stick straight up. They are EVIL plants that will rip you up if you fall off a motorcycle
I wore some decent leather gloves, but still got blisters on my left hand. One blister at the base of my left little finger and another one at the base of my left thumb. I did most swinging right handed. If you hit them right at the rootball, theres a sweet spot that you can take those bastards out with one swing. Miss the seet spot and it may take 2 or 3 swings. I would guess there is at least 2,000or more yucca bushes. Today, I probably got a hundred cleared out. Im going to pile them up and set them on fire. I hate those F***ers.
What a freakin workout. Are rubber palm gloves better for that type work? What kind of gloves do you recommend? thanks. I really cant afford to be ripping my hands up swinging that ax but I dont want to have to stop.
