Nice Dog.
Zeus, my boxer, almost got its neck broken by a bull mastiff about 10 months ago when he was 1 and 70lbs. We were out in the yard one afternoon and the guy up the street decides to walk his bull mastiff. Never since i've been in the house has this guy ever walked this dog on a leash. Now I have seen this big dog several times as it runs in the guys back yard with this large fence surrounding it. Zeus has several "dog" friends that he plays with so, in his mind, all dogs want to play. Zeus runs up to the dog and starts poking at it to play. the BM wanted nothing to do with Zeus (i did hear they are not very friendly). As Zeus was about to poke again, the BM grabbed Zeus pretty hard by at the neck. Zeus was able to jump backwards and out of the jaws of the BM. He came running to me, sat down next me, looked in my eyes then back at the BM as if to say "WTF"? I told him, some big dogs don't want to play. Zeus did bleed a bit and he (I) was very lucky. The BM could have really done some harm.Comment
