Tea Party Patriots Plan 'Die-In' and More Protests



Call it Tea Party Patriots version 2.0: The grassroots conservative movement that helped put the brakes on Democratic healthcare reform is gearing up for an exponential increase in tea party marches, rallies and other events leading up to the 2010 midterm elections.

The first event will kick off on Tuesday, as thousands of protesters are expected to hold a "die-in" on Capitol Hill, where they will gather to present an image of desperately ill patients waiting in long lines for treatment at government-controlled healthcare facilities. It's another in a series of Tea Party efforts designed to boost the momentum against Democratic healthcare reform.

The neo-cons have hijacked our movement. This all started with Ron Paul's grassroots and they stole it. And now they are making it less and less credible. And they can have all the protests and marches they want, these things are a regular occurrence in DC, but if the media doesn't cover it it wont make a difference. Remember when 98% of Americans opposed a bailout? Remember what happened then? These cronies do whatever is in THEIR best interests, not our. It's time to "Alter or abolish" the government.

yeah right we hijacked it stop making excuses since our tea party works and yours didnt and thats why your pissed.Your guy never had a chance in the world to win and still doesnt and thats not being a smart ass thats being realistic.The gov will always be there but the republicans have to take it back to run it the right way. our tea party is now way bigger then your ron pauls grass roots party was. And since ours is being heard again your pissed that we are getting the coverage and its showing and working by getting the liberals out of office and us taking back both houses then the presidency.

We can complain all we want but it comes down to Joe Liberman's vote and he has said he will vote with the dems if they water down the bill a little more. Like I've said all along, the bill will pass, some form of one, and after several years of government legislation it will become a sinle payer system. Let's hope a new administration will reverse this one day.

Political analysts have seen little sign in recent days that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., whose Hail Mary insistence on a public option has altogether collapsed, has a workable plan to achieve a compromise before year's end.

I hope you are right Fuzo. You are spot on about the number of Americans not supporting it, which is why it would be so outrageous if they do pass it with such opposition from the American people. I'll join you in being optimistic.

Let's not make assumptions as to why I'm upset about the hijacking. It has nothing to do with "my guy". Our movement started the tea parties and that's the fact that I was bringing up. And I'm rally not certain as to where the hostility or the need to be confrontational comes from. I wasn't arguing anything aside from the FACT that we started the tea parties. I'm not pissed in the least about people using the tea parties to get a message across, a message that I wholeheartedly agree with might I add. I just think that they are becoming a novelty and aren't being taken as seriously, and they are being mocked.Not everything has to be an argument. And when people start caring about the country and not just about parties and who does it better, then maybe, just maybe, things will get better. People are so quick to forget that both parties are responsible for our situation, and neither one is really any better than the other.

And it takes 1 party to fix this mess and it will be the republican party. I know that the republicans are taken this tea party seriously and it has showed through out the states. And there was no hostlitiy or confrontational if your taking it that way well theres nothing I can do about that.And stray its showing that people care about our country and not the partys because people have risen to remove the bad from this scum bag president and its showing.And I will disagree with you about what parties are better for our country it sure isnt the liberal democratic party thats for sure. I am watching Beck now and he showed a clip from today where Joe Liberman is caving in to most likely vote for the bill. He said the now that the bill is watered down some he feels like he will be able to vote for health care reform. But I not sure if it still has the government option or not. Either way, Liberman just lost any respect I might have had for him. I used to think he came through for America on some issues but the piece of sh%t is caving in now. WTF. Is there no hope? Why is it that they will not stop pushing this bill when almost 70% of the people oppose it. This is ridiculous, plain and simple.

Lieberman: I Did Not Flip-flop on Medicare







Sen. Joe Lieberman strongly rebutted charges Monday that he flip-flopped to oppose the expansion of Medicare as part of healthcare legislation, as Democratic leaders struggled to get President Barack Obama's top domestic initiative on track for passage by Christmas. "Contrary to the claims of anonymous aides, Senator Lieberman told (Majority Leader Harry) Reid on Friday that he had problems with the Medicare provision," said Marshall Wittman, a spokesman for the Connecticut Independent.
"This position was also told to negotiators earlier in the week. Consequently, Senator Lieberman's position came as no surprise to the Democratic leadership. Any contrary charge by aides who cowardly seek to hide under the cloak of anonymity is false and self-serving," he added.









Dem calls for Lieberman recall

• A House Democrat from Connecticut said Tuesday that Sen. Joe Lieberman should be recalled from office over his opposition to the Senate health care bill.

"No individual should hold health care hostage, including Joe Lieberman, and I'll say it flat out, I think he ought to be recalled," Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) told POLITICO.

I know the Liberman has usually been there for the republicans on issues of this magnitude, but I saw the clip and he plainly said exactly what I wrote in the above post. Either way, if he does vote for it then it will have to go back to the house for another vote where the 2 bills would be merged and that would be tough to pull off in the house, so they say.

That dem lady suggesting to recall Liberman, who does she think she is? Just because someone doesn't go along with the dems he should be thrown out of office...lol, does she forget that he is an Independent?

They really are insane. I actually think Michael Savage was right in his book "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder." Not to mention, they have no respect for the American people and what we want. It is simply amazing and I can't wait for the 2010 elections. I think it will be the biggest upset in history for incumbents.
