a 1st for the geeks

well, yesturday i get too work, un pack my laptop, plug it in, turn on, get it all set up for a nice few hours of chitting and chatting while watching the snow and not waiting on customers. i go get a coffe and settle into my seat. i just bring up the internet and BOOM....i hit my goffee and it spills into my laptop!!! well i have insurance protection for that, so me and boo (after 5 hrs, sitting with no computer, at work watching NO cars drive by), take it too best buy. after sitting for awhile, i could get it too come on, but the mouse pad didnt work. i thaught they'd send it out to clean up, but as soon as i got too the counter (after 1hr wait in line, lol) he said..."ok, they're gonna replace it. go grab another one an go too that counter"...JUST LIKE THAT!!! first time ever!! i usually have to threaten, give ugly looks, tell momma jokes, all kinds of shyt too get through their hoops!! not this time...boo set up the new laptop lastnight and i'll be good to go monday morning (poor IPL...you almost had a chance, lol (inside joke)

side note...if you have a laptop with best buy insurance and you have an accident...once they replace the unit, the insurance is over!! it dosnt transfer to the new machine...not even if it was 60days old!!!

side note...if you have a laptop with best buy insurance and you have an accident...once they replace the unit, the insurance is over!! it dosnt transfer to the new machine...not even if it was 60days old!!!

It really depends who waits on you sometimes! When Fuzo and I had our pc replaced, last summer, we got the manager to transfer the warranty over. This was at Best Buy also.

yea...my wife was kinda hot, but after he explained that it would have should it have been mech. or whatever....she was ok, not happy, but ok.
