Re: name all your surgeries
Just over the past two years I had two surgeries on my right hand ring and pinky finger. Not sure if you recall as i did post about it, the bones in both fingers shattered to the extent that the Doc called them "corn flakes". Told me I would have absolutely no mobility in those fingers. Got hooked up with a hand surgeon in NY who has done work on several professional athletes. He took a look at them and said "in all my 40 yrs, I have never seen anything like this. I will fix you, however you have some work to do". Took two years and I now have 80% mobility and 90% use from the two fingers.

Re: name all your surgeries
awsome that you can do that!!! i was told i'd never open my hand again...the tendons were cut for my index, middle and ring finger...they had to sew them all together. welp...my ring and middle finger stick together unless i concerntrate on seperating them, but i can open my hand...i was a guitarist in a heavymetal band and i could not see myself putting the guitar down, so i forced my fingures to move so i could play....never was able to play like i used too, but the theropy allowed the tendons too stretch and open my hand!!Originally posted by skinnyman View PostJust over the past two years I had two surgeries on my right hand ring and pinky finger. Re: name all your surgeries
I think I have you all beat unfortunately.
Ostocondroma (Benign Tumor) removed from right shoulder when I was a teenager
Lower back surgery at age 17, removed approximately 20% of my disc due to a bulging disc from weightlifting
Polyp removed from my vocal cord about 7 years ago
2nd back surgery for same problem on same disc Oct 15, 2009 (less than 2 months ago) still doing therapy, if it happens again I have to get a fusionGovernment is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington
I do not condone the use of, nor do I use anabolic or androgenic steroids. My participation on these boards is for informational purposes only. I have done extensive research of AAS and enjoy discussing them for role playing enjoyment.

Damn, and i thought i was the only one. Not sure about you, but my two fingers will stiffin up fairly quickly unless I keep opening and closing them. i am hopeful that this will subside as I am just over 4 months from the second surgery. However, it will be inevitable that i will have arthritus in these two fingers.Originally posted by daved150 View Postawsome that you can do that!!! i was told i'd never open my hand again...the tendons were cut for my index, middle and ring finger...they had to sew them all together. welp...my ring and middle finger stick together unless i concerntrate on seperating them, but i can open my hand...i was a guitarist in a heavymetal band and i could not see myself putting the guitar down, so i forced my fingures to move so i could play....never was able to play like i used too, but the theropy allowed the tendons too stretch and open my hand!!

Re: name all your surgeries
my doctor was one of the best in the country...he figured that me try to play guitar stretched the tendons out enough that they could work independantly....PLAY GUITAR, lol...or something like that.Originally posted by skinnyman View PostDamn, and i thought i was the only one.
