Re: Anyone notice Paul was back on Beck?
^that's him.
I'm right with ya Fuzo. I'm always eading up on history and points in time that changed history, and changed America. The men that constructed The Constitution worked tirelessly to build a Republic of freedom. They wrote up a masterpiece for as near perfect state of liberty, free will, and minimal government as possible. Our founding fathers new well what they were avoiding. Which was the tyrannica government they fled of European countries...oppressive monarchy, totalitarianism, etc...complete government control. They found a great land and created the best form of government ever known before which was minimal. A Republic where the individual had absolute liberty. Free will. Freedom. The Constitution gave just enough government to control crime. And crime had a clear definition. You did not commit violence against others, or infringe others liberty. Fraud, theft, violence against another free individual. That's crime. And it worked great for 100-120yrs. Then came new laws. Prohibition. Prohibition created violence. Laws against freedom create violence. Violence is crime.
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
-- Thomas Jefferson 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334--
I borrowed this from wikipedia:
--"Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 – July 4, 1826)[2] was the third President of the United States (1801–1809), the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776), and one of the most influential Founding Fathers for his promotion of the ideals of republicanism in the United States. Major events during his presidency include the Louisiana Purchase (1803) and the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804–1806)..."
Republicanism is the basis for The Constitution as well as The Bill of Rights. The original first 10 Bill of Rights, which are written specifically to reinforce individual freedom. They were written for the individual!
Republicanism is the basis, the foundation, of this country.
Don't let many of these plastic people of today, that have hi-jacked the (R), run you away from the original Republican, conservative agenda.
