That was one of the main [pros] for the black. besides the fact I think it looks better. I'll give this one a go, and see if it grows on me.

oh, and I found, and already fixed, what set off that non-conditional hold.
I ought to call 'em Friday and say, "call it in again" Hell I'll pay the $5 call fee. I want my gun. I could tell by the way they said, "it'll be hear for ya" that they ain't planning on callin until they were told.

oh well. I found the error in state records, fixed it, and renewed my license. It was about to expire before long anyway.

If carrying in hot weather..go with all stainless.
less surface flash rusting from contact with your body.
Shooting at folks in the dark...go with all black.
less shine to give away your position
(like muzzle flash wouldnt do that already?)

Two tone is for purse guns, pimps, or show pieces...

Thanks E! That's 2 folks that have already made me feel better about my purchase.
That's why I chose stainless. For straight-up practicality. functionality. Not that I don't take care of my guns, and keep 'em clean and wiped down, but I chose this piece in stinless because, a) durability, b) corrosion resistance(ya basically don't even have to worry about it), and c) value (worth more & will hold higher). I also considered that most folks seem to like that stainless slide.
The main thing though, is not having to worry with that fast surface rust that seems to come out of the blue.(pun intended) Ya know the type. You notice some one day, and think, "how the hell?..." won't have to worry with that.

I like black, but it all boils down to personal preference really.

I like the Sig in black and it fits well in my hand. I figure if the CIA carry them its cool haha! I also have a 38 Taurus in the pewter. They are basically for protection, but i go to the range once in awhile and talk to the boys..

yeah, you gotta get out and shoot your guns. Practice.
I started taking a friend of mine to my land to shoot with me. It's awesome how much better he's gotten in just a few months.

yep, over at a gun forum, Bersa forum, Hi-Point forum. I wonder how many of them really do get out and put the number of rounds they say down range.
Not everybody throws a couple-300rds once or twice a week.
Not that you gotta practice to that tune, but I try to.

I was listening to a guy and gal getting set up to use the range where I was shopping. I learned that, not only are the guns overpriced, but the range seemed a bit steep too. They were charging $1 per round. Obviously the gun shop/range was supplying the rounds at that cost, but that still seems outrageous! And he was shooting 9mm.

That's on the higher end for target for me. If I pay $14-15 per(50), It's cause I didn't stock up from my guy up the street. He has Remington UMC FMJ green box for $12.99. Blazer aluminum FMJ $12.99.
I'll buy the Winchester white box from Wally-world for $21.97, something like that. They also carry Federal FMJ that work great for $9.97. I've never seen more than (2) boxes of that on the shelf, and of course, I get it everytime I see it.

That's one thing about a .40. It does cost a few more dollars to shoot, and it serves no better ballistics than a 9mm, but you can always, always get .40S&W. anywhere. I can't think of one time since the ammo shortage began, that I've seen anyone, including Wal-mart, not have .40 ammo.
