Does anyone keep one in there house.

I have a 50 gallon fresh water tank with a pleco and African Cichlids They dont take much work and when its clean it really looks good in the living room. kinda a nerd hobby but before we bought a puppy we needed to make sure we could keep a house plant alive, then some fish.

I used to have a 55 gallon fresh-water tropical. had alot of eels, sharks, some razors etc...Great at feeding time when i dropped in 20-30 minnows. Your right in that it does not take much time to maintain, however can look real bad if not done consistently.

I ran in to some Ick at times. Have you? This disease can wipe out your intire tank if not caught.

your fortunate not to have issues as the fish can get expensive. My brother had two oscars and would always feed them live fish. unfortunately they say a diet of only live fish can cause "hole in the head". Ever hear of that? Really...the fish develop a hole in their head and can be fatal

                Re: Fish Tank

I had African cichlid tanks for years until the bottom blew out of my 55 gallon tank, thank god it was in the basement, but I still had to re-drywall, and re-carpet. My wife was 8 months pregnant with our first son, and super emotional. Needless to say, no more aquariums for me, although I want another one badly..
