    Anybody have thoughts on 'em?
I just got back from the gun store picking up ammo for tomorrow morning. I have some Hydra-Shoks, but I wanted to try something different cause I've heard of feeding issues with Hydra-Shoks with that sharp edge. I wanted Speer Gold Dot. They have a nice rounded off lip instead of that sharp edge where the copper jacket ends for the hollow point. I'm sure the Gold Dots would've fed smooth as could be, but the dude at the counter sold me on the Hornady Critical Defense. He called that stuff "plastic" that in the tip, but it feels like a pencil eraser. But, as long as they run smooth.

for paper punching just shoot ball ammo. for that matter besides hallow points and ball ammo i see no need for anything else.

They're JHPs. They just have a little plastic fill in the hollow area for the purpose of smoother feed. For certain guns that have feed issues.

I just run ball ammo for practice. FMJs are no good for defense in a 9mm so I like to keep a good JHP. I was having feed issues with the Hydrashoks before break-in, and I'm not so sure they'll feed that smooth now. I'm gonna run through the last few toimorrow and see.
