  • this darn bug

I was sick 2 wks ago. Then my daughter came home sick Wed of last week, and the poor girl was very ill. She was complaining of a headache at school, so they called. I got her to the house and she got sick 3 times. Poor thing couldn't hold a thing down. Then it turned into strep throat for the last few days. Now, I've been feeling like crap again for the last couple days, and I'm not missing anymore gym time. I've been held up, actually dropped a few pounds because of all this sick bidness. I have been coming back strong this week, but training worked my ass over last night. Now I just woke up completely clogged up(my sinuses), and my throat been a little raw. But, since 1990, when I got my tonsels removed, I haven't had any sore throat more than a little scartchy, or raw like now.
I'm not missing gym time unless I run a fever again.
And maybe it's that weak little H1N1 virus. I would be glad to get that out of the way. I've realized that unless you get the nose spray vaccine, you get the shot, which contains thimerosal. so, that vaccine is off the menu. Not to mention the little virus is getting weaker and weaker. I'm not sold on the hype anymore. So glad we can trust our government and most doctors to study up and actually inform themselves so they can better inform us rather than just making sure they sell more vaccines.

    Re: this darn bug

The committee I run at work just sponsored a lunch and Lear about the Flu and H1N1 strain and the medical professional we had come in verified what we already know. Don't go falling for all the hype, thousands of people die every year from the flu-this isn't anything new. The H1N1 is just one more strain of the flu no big deal. She also said that most peeps who have had/have the flu is more than liky this strain and it's just being misdiagnost as the regular version . So everyone can chill out.

When did the h1n1 virus start? Last March me, my husband, and my twins all at a really yucky flu that lasted a whole week. It started out as high temps for a couple days and horrible body aches, then lessened and we continued fevering for a whole week.

hearing alot about the swine flu shot and that not all testing has been done, side affects not known, and whether or not safe to have.

Really concerned about giving it to my kids

me neither. My child will never get another vaccine with thimerosal. And that whole virus hype is just that. hype. It's not even that bad of an illness. It's not as bad as the regular flu that puts ya down for a week.
