Re: A call from my son's guidance counselor/Prin

a child has the right to defend themselves.

schools attempt to take that away with zero tolerance policies. (like the girl who was suspended for taking a plastic knife to school)

i have been through this too bro, it is frustrating to say the least.

i have taught my boy you will never get in trouble for defending yourself from me

while my wife and i were at school talking to the principal my son was out side the office. when we were done i told him i was proud of him for standing up for himself and we would have a blast on his 3 days off, i took vacation days. but never start a fight or there would be hell to pay

i looked over my shoulder at the pricipal whos jaw was agape
"SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

A clear concience is a sign of a bad memory.

horse, you're a great dad and there should be more like you out there. How, in any right mind, can anyone think you go overboard in teaching your kids. My wife and i are in tune with what goes on in and out of school. We are fortunate in that she does not work, however volunteers 3-5 days a week at my kids school just to keep in tune. I on the other hand coach both my son and daughter in soccer, tee ball etc. Your right, it's amazing with what they come up with from learning at school.

BTW-4yrs old and already getting flowers.....wow they start young nowadays...better keep a close eye on that one.
