parent control of TV remote

Is there a way you can set the remote up to block certain programs from showing as you surf the channels?

I'm so tired of the same movies over and over again. I gotta admit, my daughter has a pretty good sense of humor for a 4yr old. She actually has really good taste in movies, period, but 50thousand runs of the same movies gets to be enough.

i would think it depends on the tv bro....or the service provider. i can block all rated "r" shows with our cable company

I'm thinkin i can block certain channels, or ratings, I need to check about certain programs. Next time it's on, I need to see if I can block it.

Meanwhile, blocking the movie channels would be handy unless me or mom is skimming through. It's not so much the rating. It's just our daughter's random favorites. They've gotten enough play.
