  • Sick of 9/11 theatrics

I still mourn the unjust loss of lives on 9/11 but when I see politicians exploiting this date for their own agenda of further undermining individual liberty and the condescending voices of news anchors trying to sound somber and acting as if these politicians motives are genuine I just want to puke. I can't even put my finger on all that disgusts me with it but it just seems like a bunch of parasites using the day to get attention.

Eh maybe i've grown too cynical with the media and politicians (I don't think so, though) but I'd rather the news anchors just keep their phucking ignorant mouths shut and not show the crooked politicians - it's insulting to those who died that day. Just videos with silence.

yep. It's messed up. Look how fast they jumped on the "in Ted Kennedy's name" band wagon. It's a cynical, patronizing media.

I refuse to watch the video's. The actual day was painful enough. I can't bear to watch it again.

yeah aom, it is rough to watch. I remember that day perfectly. I was at the house that morning waiting on a new pen-base laptop because i cooked mine the day before. Then all the sudden that broke live on tv. People that didn't watch it live can't imagine the feeling of that. That was crazy. Those helicopters were getting close up views of men and women, all dressed in their nice work clothes. They were standing at the egde, then all the siudden they would just bail off. I remember some would do it together, like 3 or 4 people would hold hands and jump. That was absolute horror. That re-ignites the rage I have for Muslim terrorist. And yes, Muslim terrorist, because every damn one of them were, and are. It has nothing to do with race or being a racist. It's just fact.

I too remember the images of people jumping from the 102nd floor. It was one of the saddest days in American history. One of those days you will never ever forget where you were when the planes hit.

No offense to anybody but I didnt give it a minute of my time. I glanced at the headlines of the newspaper and went on with my day. Sad that that day ever had to happen. I agree with you , Klash, the exploitation of 9/11 by politicians is utterly repulsive.

Id prefer coming on here and get to reading some good posts. Or go visit with pals on facebook...lol.. Ive had to rid myself of anything that could possibly bring me down. Im hanging on tight and riding my personal storm out. I hope this country can ride this storm out and become a joyful place again.
