  • H1N1 vaccine

I know we have some strong views about vaccines. With this H1N1 virus, and the availability of the vaccine next month, will you get vaccinated for it?..your children?

Also, do you get the flu-shot every year?

I dont ever get the flu shot because I dont get the flu..

But I do think kids and old people should probably get it.. they are the ones who usually end up dying from the flu..

Funny that you mention it, I'm in the medical field and it's hilarious that all these people are freaking out over the swineflu.. a thousand people die every day from the regular flu.. thats what the flu does.. I went to CABO in June and everyone here thought I was crazy.. didnt catch anything there, but now I know several people here that have caught it.. hilarious.. live life, be as healthy as you can and itll all work out..

yeah, I just heard this morning, again...for the umpteenth time, that the swine flu is nothing more than a minor resperatory thing. The doctor this morning said "do not even take Therra Flu for the swine flu", because it's such a minor sickness.
I think the H1N1 virus is more severe though. It is killing folks. Last I saw, Argentina passed us up for the most deaths from H1N1.

        Re: H1N1 vaccine

It's the same H1N1 that killed 100,000,000 people in 1918. So the potential for mass devastation is always a possibility when it makes it's way back up here in the Spring. The vaccination they are creating right now, is just a speculation on what strain it's going to be. So they could make a vaccination for H1N1 with a 3rd molecule, and when it comes back in the Spring, it could be H1N1 with a 4th molecule. The bad news if that happens, is it won't prevent you from getting the swine flu. The good news, is you won't die!! So I guess getting the swine flu and NOT dying is better than getting it and dying.

I agree and I won't be getting the vaccine and or giving it to my kids. I'm skeptical of vaccines even when the companies are liable for a bad product and not being rushed to push the product through.
