heres my 10/22 it's got a ER Shaw 18 inch barrel, a houge stock, deadnuts scope base, a Intensity 6.5-20x40 scope(actually pretty nice for 90 bucks). Still need to get the trigger and bolt work done but im going to take it out this weekend site it in and send maybe 500 down the tube.

nice, I was raised around, and using guns. Did allot of quail hunting and dove shoots. Never much on deer hunting though. Just never got into it. Where I'm going with this is, I have always thought I knew a decent bit about guns. I don't know too much about rifles other than what I've had .22s, 223, and shotguns, and some that I've just target shot with friends. But what I'm wondering, I've seen y'all say 10/22 or whatever/whatever...what does that mean?1 up

yea it's just the model there is 10/22, 77/22, 10/17, 77/17. the 77's are bolt actions the 10's are semi autos. The 22 and the 17 is the caliber.

LOVE the Ruger family of rifles.
10/22's are the backbone of any young shooters arsenal.
Fun to shoot, accurate, lightweight and affordable.
LOTS of aftermarket accessories available too.
