Have any current threads about your GTO? Pics, mods?
mods: headers and catless mids, flowmaster cat back, ported throttle body, and ported 241 heads, ported ls6 intake (not worth the $ does fine stock) patriot cam 225 duration -585 lift, underdrive pulley, nitrous (dry shot), ETMC dyno and street tune
spent all my $ on the motor mods, now the driveline and clutch need help bad.

got drag bags ready to go in, should help with the launch.

this is the first setup with just a couple bolt ons and stock ECU setup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JebLPxDSbwQ. i will try to get a vid with the cam, sounds pretty nasty now and puts out 100 more HP now NA and then add 125 or so for the spray

sounds like on okay night on stret tires with those mods listed. You were just lighting them up, so you couldn't make shyt for time. Which that's still damn decent eighths, but you got some pretty good mods. Allot of car though too.

It has an IRS? Can you replace that with a solid axle?

When we swapped the IRS for a solid axle w/4.30s on his 01 Cobra, it was a whole nother car. He had a sneaky little Venom dry kit w/100hp nozzle, X-pipe & Flowmaster cat back, and with that axle swap, that was it. He was surprising everybody. The dudes betting in the pit area loved him. They made allot off of that thing.
That Independant Rear was garbage though.

Re: taking my GTO to the track

i can change it but it is a regular street car and its not cost effective. i just need some pedders springs and drag bags (got em just got to install them)

it would help but there are guys running 10s in the 1/4 with the IRS

a ford 8.8 would be nice (better than a 12bolt for sure)
