ya know...this subject is starting to piss me off a little...and i dont get pissed too often! as much as this board seems to like to be on top of things, i would think that members would understand whats happening alot better.
loaning money is not just for broke people. when they stopped lending money, i lost all my investment in my biz. 40k cash...ok. i lost my income. 8k amonth (me and wife)....ok. what i didnt expect to loose was my FUKING CREDIT!!!!! i had a high 700 and boo had a 800 credit score. with that, i could borrow working capital to fund myself. so, even though i couldnt barrow working capital for my biz, becouse the fukin banks shut EVERYONE down, thus closing my school and trashing a total 300k investment in cash plus 200k in credit, i could still barrow enough cadh to buy and sell a few cars and make a living and keep paying my bills...BUT NOOOOOOO!!!!! you see...what these asshole fukin banks did was strip all my fukin credit. i had lines of credit up to 80k!!! i had 10k in balances that i never missed a fukin payment on. they stripped my high line of credit down to the balances..."what did that do dave?" you may ask......IT FUKED MY CREDIT RATING UP!!! now...i cant borrow money to save my own fukin life!!! i used to have the option of buying a couple cars and turning them for an income...but no...we cant have that...we cant lend money....if you cant buy it for cash you dont need it...forgetr the fact that my fukin intrest payments paid there fukin salaries. forget the fact that me barrowing $ to buy my shyt gave YOU (no one specific) a fukin job...we're just gonna end all that and see what happens....wow...whats this...whats happening now??? people cant buy shyt?....shyt cant get built?...comany's have to down size?....layoff have to occur?...house payments cant get made?....forclosures sky roket?....your house aint worth shyt becouse there's MILLIONS of forclosures?....oh no! who'd have thaught this was possible?? oh dear...what do we do??!! now we better restrict lending even more! so even more shyt can NOT be built. and so on, and so on....

Who's shutting off lending? The government has been endorsing poor lending for years on the backs of the taxpayer; now the taxpayers back is about to buckle. Lenders have recognized their risk is greater now of not only losing money do to people unable to pay their loans back but with government taking over if they get in worse shape - the result is minimizing risk. Lenders are in the same economy we are. If you made your money off lending your money to people and the guy that said he would guarantee your risky shit is now saying he'll guarantee it but he may have to take control of your company if $hit gets any worse. How much are you willing to risk? government got us in this mess and to get out of this mess, we need government to get out of business, period.

The question shouldn't be "how do we force them or bribe them into lending more" but "why don't they want to lend loosely right now" and its because we have operated by the first question for decades now. The govenrment has helped them acquire overly risky assets, that they wouldn't have taken the risk on was it their own money. Now they all have such bad assets banks won't lend to each other - too risky. So now because of the situation they're in - they tighten their belt and raise standards to survive. To say that lenders not lending is costing people their jobs is short-sighted; it would be more accurate to say government pushing lenders to do more than they should has now manifested itself into lenders not being able to lend as they would like.

from what i'm being told from other dealers, it's the whole midwest!! some area's are a little, LITTLE easier, but for the most part, if your in the midwest, which relies heavly on domestic auto manufacturing, if your apllying for a loan, your getting put through the ringer....not everyone wants to give up proof of income and shyt deep....some of these people get offended...not EVERYONE works for the big3, but these banks understand how we're all tied together. but, i've heard from buddy's in ftmyers fla that are having a hardtime too, so who fukin knows... it's hit and miss all over...and your mom's deal is one deal bro...not the entire state...not trying to offend, but i havnt heard from any dealers in your state so i dont know.

If it makes money, people will make the profit.(bad loans) Scary part; We have a government in place that see's no harm done. As in the whole big picture. Where we all, or most of us, understand decent budget practices, and there are some that feel that those that have praticed poor lending procedures be held accountable instead of handing them more cash, we have a government in place that is on the wrong side of correct lending procedures. I know, Obama has stood tall and yelled something to the likes of, "these people are gonna be held accountable..." bullshyt. Wasn't that barked just after he slung money out the window to rain down on people that can't even wipe their own ass properly, or before?...no matter...Either way, or when...We got some real fuked up shyt on all our hands.
