That's great!
When I clicked on the little camera icon I expected to see a dude in a Kayak toting a car!!!

yeah, I forgot about that little function. The camera usually shows you the intersection/road/whatever. What did it have?..just a pic of the great blue Pacific?
I had to test them again - a while ago, someone posted here about asking them for driving directions from NYC to London and it told you to "swim across the Atlantic Ocean" - I got the same result putting in Boston to Dublin....

They have since fixed that bug....
I don't see how a mistake such as [swim] anywhere in trip directions. I mean, why would that be programmed in the selection of actions?
I guess if they're thinking of very impractical trips???posssibly?
I just noticed they have you going to Washington state then heading southwest instead of due west from Vegas. Zoom out on the picture and it becomes really silly!

oh yeah man. When I use google maps for directions, I always have to grab the line and move it somewhere. It's pretty cool though. As you move it from point to point to change the route, it will show you the difference in miles before you turn loose of it.
zoom in to the west cost, a little bit, and grab it at the most northern point and move it to a more direct/due west route. You'll see what I mean. if you ever use it, it's helpful. Most folks that travel use MS Streets&Trips though.
Isn't that some shyt! swim..."alright gang, bring your swim shorts. We got a little workout ahead." I'll be damned.
Somebody that runs programs for Google had some fun with populating the means of transportation. Programming...gotta do something to break the monotony, huh.
