watch out...there's a scam going around where this check comes to you saying your a lottory winner in canada. they send you a $3900. check and tell you to call them before cashing. when you call, someone smooth's you out and try to convince you to deposit the check and write a check to a different, official sounding, tax collectors name. they tell you that when you pay the taxes you get the winnings, and thats why they sent you the check so you can deposit it and pay the taxes. ofcourse its an out of country check and the funds you send them has to be westurn unioned!!!

A new scam every day. The bureau had less than 200 people following wire/check fraud in 1990. Now the number is astonishing.

my great Aunt started getting alzeimers and she fell for a canadian lottery scam...took her whole savings...over 500k

Having been in banking for 11 years , I could tell you guys stories that would amaze. It doesn't pay to rob a bank with a gun anymore. You can get away with more money by using a high quality color printer. I've seen gypsy's, counterfeiting, lottery scams, fake ebay scams, account takeovers, inside jobs from bank employees, you name it!!

You can get away with more money by using a high quality color printer.
