Re: gun show
You are blessed indeed. Where i grew up...when I grew up, it was considered out in the sticks. We could target shoot in the backyard. We could walk right down near the bay, or lake on the other side, but we could just go for a walk and drop some birds. It was the woods. My father still lives in the house we grew up in. It is not the woods anymore. Wow, I remember coming thru there even 10yrs ago, and how much it had grown. Now it's a totally different world than what it was back in the day.
But what you have is what would've been nice today. My wife was asking me last night where we could go to shoot my new 9mm. I'd have to go pay at the indoor range, or ride 40minutes to our land. My pop's bought land on a lake farther north about 12yrs ago because of how his area has grown. He loves to be on out, and from growing up like that, I still haven't got accustomed to the tight neighborhood/subdivision community life. It is nice to have everything 2 minutes away, but it would be nice to go outside and just be able to shoot. And if I have a son, be able to make him a little dirtbike track right at the house. Oh well, it'll just take a little extra effort.
