    Court deals Devils' Brodeur alimony blow

    TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Days after breaking the NHL record for wins by a goalie, the Devils' Martin Brodeur has been dealt an alimony setback by a New Jersey appeals court.
    The court ruled that Brodeur (broh-DYOOR') must pay his ex-wife $500,000 a year until 2020.
    A lower court originally awarded Brodeur's ex-wife, Melanie DuBois (doo-BWAH'), limited alimony.
    Brodeur appealed, asking that he only be required to pay alimony until he retires, which he estimated to be in 2012. DuBois asked for alimony payments until 2024, when their youngest is anticipated to graduate from college.
    The court ordered Brodeur to pay alimony until 2020, the year the youngest child graduates high school.

          In Montreal last month a former Brazilian Top Model is suing her ex boyfriend which is one of the founder for cirque du soleil.

          They were never married, but got two kids and their relationship ended like 7 years ago.

          The man, which is number two of Cirques du Soleil, bought her 2 multimillions dollars house, give her 30 000$ every months.

          She suing him because she wants

          50 millions
          50 000 every months
          a private jet for travelling

            IF she didn't have it before - she shouldn't get it after.

            Now if the couple (whomever) worked on the financial assets or business together then there should be a split -of those assets only.
            If she just married into it then TOUGH SH!T - she get's nothing.
            Same for a guy - if he marries a wealthy woman, actress, heiress or whatever - if they split - he gets nothing.

            Go get a F'n job!

            Kids bring another aspect to it but the ex wife or ex husband shouldn't be able to get any of it.
            It's for the kids. Not so the ex can be a lazy mooch!

                  theres no reason why that women deserves that much money. She didnt have it before she got married she married him the professional hockey player who made the money. Now that they divorce she gets that much. The system is just plain wrong. She deserves something but not that much.

                    If they have kids - she deserves a decent amount of child support to SUPPORT the children. Alimony is a crock of crap.
                    A faithful heart makes wishes come true.
