Straight up, it shouldn't be on there but I don't think it is really a priority right now and if it is taken off in my lifetime - I'll be surprised.

Technically I agree with Klash - there is a constitutional amendment separating church from state - however . . . belief in a protestant CHRISTIAN GOD is the foundation upon which our nation was founded, and that should not be erased through abuse of our policy of religious tolerance. This is a Christian nation, founded on Christian belief systems, and we Americans accept and incorporate all people of all religions and ancestries. But the line must be drawn when the hand that feeds is bitten . . . repeatedly. We need not alter the substance and foundations of our beliefs for the comfort of those who wish to dwell among us - isn't the acceptance and promotion of diversity our advertised strength? The elimination of GOD from our basic patriotic disseminations and core foundations is mutiny. Since when is our acceptance everyone from every background and belief deemed a discrininatory gesture? I am in disbelief, because I cannot yet reach past this emotion to outrage.

Protecting a secular government (which by the way, is what America was founded on; that secular government may have been created by some protestant christians but it was still created as a secular government) from religious influence is not mutiny. I think Christians have a hard time seeing secularism as something other than a threat; it's not a threat, the founders created a secular government so people (even Christians) could worship the way they wanted and not be held in accordance to a state religion. Yet most Christians fail to realize is what they truly support is a theocracy - so why do they have such a problem with Islamic theocracies?

Christians seem to always believe in majority rule when it comes to Christian doctrine or symbolism being inserted into government, because they know they have the numbers. Yet many of them resist the majority rules concept when it comes to liberal doctrine and symbolism being inserted into government.

Who does it hurt, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was created on laws and principles taken from christianity. There is a separation of state and church and this should be inviolable fact and right, but it is a tradition and a reminder that our laws, values and life take principles from the Bible, period!

and if the ACLU is not happy in their whinning communist lefty worthless *****ing day they can sue my Catholic Ass before a priest from Boston grabs it!

American laws were principles taken from the age of enlightenment; reason, freedom, individual rights, i.e. principles opposed to theocracy and "in god we trust" has only been a tradition sense 1956 - so if your argument is supported by tradition only it was a tradition longer not to have it. So from your own standard it shouldn't be there.

I am catholic, I dont believe in the catholic church per se, i respect the traditions the church has and takes what is good from it and the bad I leave it there.

O.k. ummm no. Saying the age of enlightenment is a result of the Bible is freakin ridiculous; that's like saying reason rose up from faith, when reason and faith are opposites. Faith gives us the dark ages and reason gave us the age of enlightenment. Witch Hunts ironically came from faith; the same thing you promote being intertwined with a secular government.

That is what I do but when the majority advocate their religious views should be advertised by government currency at the expense of all taxpayers that's b.s.; that would be like atheists advocating the slogan "In no god we trust" being put on our currency at the expense of Christians. Why not if it's offensive keep walking? Oh but use Christian tax money to fund abortions and $hit hits the fan (as it should). There just seems to be a correlation between faith, hypocrisy and double standards!
