Actually you don't want one that can play them they have worse graphics due to them having to use a less sharp laser to read the games. It is awesome though and bluray is the shit for watching movies. make sure you have a TV that is high de and you are good to go.

    When the ps3 first came out all of there models could play older titles. In the last year they have changed the model lineup and only the larger hard drive version now has the capability of playing the older titles. I am not sure why they did that but my nephews ended up having to take theres back due to this.

      They did this because they had to make the systems more affordable for themselves. They were actually losing money on every PS3 system they sold, cost them more to make then it did to buy. They were counting on making the money back in accessories and games. The systems dont have as many features because they wound have ended up costing around 600-800 dollars to buy to keep sony from going under with the ps line

          I just found out that you can use game cube games for wii and have to buy a new controller and a memory chip

            big guy if you are getting stoked over game cube games i think the ps3 will be to much for your mind to handle. the graphics will blow you away.......lol j/k

              No its not that I didnt know you could play game cube games on wii. I just found out and there our alot of game cube games that are cheap and used I can get for my daughter
