Blackwater Worldwide, perhaps the only private military contractor with household name recognition, is rebranding. Its futuristic new name, Xe (pronounced like the last letter of the alphabet) aims to help the company disassociate from image-tarnishing Iraq War moments like a shooting in 2007 that left at least a dozen civilians dead. In a memo, Blackwater president Gary Jackson announced that the company intends to shift away from the soldier-for-hire game and into "personnel protective services for high-threat environments when needed by the U.S. government." This announcement comes on the heels of Iraqi leaders' decision last month not to renew Blackwater's license to operate there.

lets just say im VERY familiar with the company. And yes some of the classes at Mt. carol (blackwater north) are the shit. they dont only do shit overseas. They have all the seal mentor contracts and are heavily involved in the future seal community. ( from what i hear... anyways.) Any recruit who signs a seal contract goes to boot camp then to BUD's prep or the NSWPS where they train for 8 to 16 weeks prior to buds. Here they are trained by active duty seals, former seals and stud NCAA athletes. They basically run, lift, swim, and pt to get ready for buds. it has basically replaced PTRR and going to A school first. The company does a lot of good things in the spec war community. they just get a bad rap from the liberal pussies. for the record it is war and yes civilians die and have been dying for 1000's of years. our current ROE's are ****ing outrages. cant fight a war conventionally with people who don't share they same values of our society. im sure i just opend the flood gates but i read way too many bullshit article about what we do.

i actually dont blame them at all...i couldnt imagine the situations they are put in. i'd have to say, when the enemy dosnt have a umiform, i'm sure i'd pop a couple of civilians out of the "just in case" thing...i'm doing whatever i gotta do to make it through. i respect the position they are put in.
