the computer and the news? We were on vacation for 2 weeks and I didn't read or watch the news and was only on the internet twice the whole time. It made me realize I waste a lot of time and energy on both. I missed surfing the web but I didn't miss being upset with the news and stuff.

The computer is actually my break from everything else. And you are right, I waste a lot of time......couldnt give it up though, or the paper. Now watching the news - I could live a lifetime without that.A faithful heart makes wishes come true.

I just watch the news in the morning and plink around on the computer throughout the day. I get alot more done during the day when I'm not on the computer. Makes my neck hurt.Be Yourself - An original is always worth more than a copy!;)

i'll admit i have a diffciult time staying away from new, computer, work etc. i do it to stay "in tune", especially with work while on vac. Drives my wife nutsComment

oh, yes, the computer can be a great tool or a major time waster. I tend to waste time here during breaks thru out the day. as for news, it is hard not to feel a little down when they come on and tell us how fu%%$#ed up the whole world is. I PROBABLY watch too much news. Like how bad things are in iraq/iran and afghanistan. How can that make anybody feel anything but bAD?Comment

I am a news junkie. I read about 10-12 different news sites daily.
I don't know if I could take a very long break from it. I like to keep up with what is happening in the worldPush it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!

I took a Stress Management course in College and it said to just check the news 2 x a wk to avoid stress.
The Web is my stress reliever. If I wasnt on line Id be in a bar so its helped me big time!
